With regards to the continuation/termination of benefits - employers can provide employees with the option to a) Maintain all lines of benefit while they are off on maternity/paternity leave or b) termination all lines of benefit while they are off on maternity/paternity leave and reinstate the benefits when the employee returns to work provided it is within the statutory maternity/paternity leave period.
