An over-age dependent is a dependent who has reached a predetermined age that is set by the insurance carrier, but can continue to be covered as an over-age dependent until a) they reach the maximum age set by the insurer provided that they are attending an accredited post-secondary institution on a full time basis or b) qualify with a disabled status.
