GreenShield Canada Medical Second Opinion (MSO) Service Update

Effective January 01, 2026, GreenShield is enhancing its Medical Second Opinion (MSO) service.

GreenShield’s MSO provider is transitioning from Teladoc Medical Experts to GreenShield MSO, delivered in partnership with Novus Health. This change is designed to better support members during important healthcare decisions.

It’s important to note that this transition will happen automatically. No action is needed from plan members.

What’s changing?

Starting January 01, 2026:

  • Teladoc will no longer accept new MSO requests from GreenShield members.
  • Any MSO cases opened with Teladoc before January 01, 2026 will continue and be completed without interruption.
  • All new MSO requests will be handled by Novus Health.

How to access Medical Second Opinion services

As of January 01, 2026, plan members can request a Medical Second Opinion in one of the following ways:

  • Log in to the GreenShield member account and navigate to Care Navigation → Telemedicine → Medical Second Opinion
  • Call Novus Health directly at 1-855-908-1275
