What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication, or 2FA, is an extra layer of security beyond just your usual password. While passwords are the traditional keys to your online accounts, they can sometimes be compromised or stolen by cybercriminals through various means like phishing attacks or data breaches.
2FA adds an additional step to the login process, making it much harder for unauthorized users to access your accounts, even if they manage to get hold of your password. Instead of just needing your password, 2FA requires a second form of verification, typically something that only you have access to, like your smartphone, email, or a physical security key.
How does 2FA work on SCB Connect?
After entering your password as usual, instead of gaining immediate access, you will receive a prompt for a verification code.
This code has been sent to your email address. It will be valid for 10 minutes. If you don’t use it to sign in within the 10 minute window, the code will no longer work and you will need to begin the sign-in process again.
Retrieve the unique code from the email and enter it on the SCBC login page. Click Submit to login.
